When God says No!

Something came up. So today I decided to write about some essential things in life that we will encounter lots of time.

You know the quote, “each prayer has 3 possible answers: yes, no, and not now.” if the answer is yes, then good, it’s perfect, your thought and God’s are in harmony. If the answer is not now, it’s still good, the only frustrating part is the stage of waiting. You don’t know when, you don’t know how, but it will happen, and you will be fine in His time. But the real challenge is –

What if God says NO?

Have you ever liked a car at the dealership? you told them to hold it a few days till you got your money together and they agreed to hold it,  then on the day you are ready to buy the car, you get to the dealership and you see someone drive off with the car you were supposed to buy…Uhmm that sucks, how would you feel?  How do you feel? When you trained very hard each and every day to get on a school basketball team, and God still didnt’ put you on your school’s basketball team. How do you feel?  When you pray for the healing of your sick friend and God still takes him/her home. How do you feel? When you have applied for your dream job, and the response has bold letters that say you’re  ‘REJECTED’ . How do you feel? Really, how do you handle the times when God says no?

Would you still give Him the praises He deserved? Would you still worship Him?  Would you still be thankful and grateful for whatever He has done?  Would you still trust in Him?  Would you still serve Him with the same passion you had when He said yes?  Would you still seek Him?  Would you still remain faithful to Him ?

It is an indubitably humbling process, a process where you will learn that this world is not a wish-granting factory, that the phrase “what you want is what you get” does not exist, that God can’t give you everything that you want, but instead, He will give you everything you need. When God says no, your world may seem as if it is tearing apart, as if you are standing alone, it sucks, it really does. But how will you respond to it? How will you respond to a NO?

God has promised that He will always be there; He never leaves, and never will. You must continue to search for Him with a genuine heart, you will realize that His Love and Grace are sufficient, His grace is enough, and His presence is adequate.

When God says NO, remain faithful, keep your faith and trust in Him. Always remember that behind every NO, there will be a “I have something better in mind.” God will give you a better answer. Even better than what you want. God is crazy about you to a point that He died for you. God loves surprises; His plans are mind-blowing, unexpected, and unimaginable. I am always reminded of my favorite quotes

“Rejection is often direction”

“Life looks better in retrospect, when you look back than when you go through it, and you realize in the end that Gods plan was better than yours”

“We may throw the dice, but the LORD determines how they fall.” – Proverbs 16:33

Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Just a thought….Be Encouraged!
