Today over 40 million people carry the HIV Virus. 68% of those infected live in the sub-Saharan Africa . The World Health Organization estimates that more than 25 million people worldwide have died from this infection since the start of the epidemic. It is estimated that more than 16 million children under 18 have been orphaned by AIDS. The epidemic has caused more deaths today than all wars, famine and ravages of different disasters combined.
